Instructions for using the online glossary databases at termnet.biz...
Using the TermNet online database
The glossary databases on Termnet.biz are programmed in such a way that users can perform search operations on ALL FIELDS, including the Category and Context fields. The databases also have an ADVANCED SEARCH feature built in.
If entries are numbered, this designates that the primary term is associated with different contexts and/or a different technical field.
ENGLISH, GERMAN or DUTCH?
A search operation can also be performed on any language in the databases, i.e. both English and German terms in the EN-DE databases and likewise for the EN-NE databases.
Entering a term in the search box will produce all entries containing that term in the entire database and the search term will be highlighted.
The following glossaries are available:
CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGY EN-DE-EN
HYDROLOGY EN-NE-EN
ELECTRONICS & ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING EN-DE-EN
ELECTRONICS, TELECOM & ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING EN-NE-EN
COMPREHENSIVE DICTIONARY OF INDUSTRY & TECHNOLOGY EN-DE-EN
COMPREHENSIVE DICTIONARY OF INDUSTRY & TECHNOLOGY NE-EN-NE
You need to subscribe to the dictionaries before you can gain access. A subscription costs 89.00 eur per year (for 3 specialized dictionaries). The subscription does not apply to the 2 Comprehensive Dictionaries listed above, which can be subscribed to separately for 175.00 euro per year. These 2 extensive technical dictionaries can be accessed from a different server.
